FAQ for HDLS 16

Who needs to register for the conference?

Anyone who is planning to attend the conference needs to pay the registration fees (here: Payment portal) and fill out the registration form (here: Registration form).

What presentations have interpretation?

All presentations have interpreting between ASL and English and/or Spanish. The interpreters will be in person and a camera will be on them for the online attendees. If you have specific interpreting needs, please reach out to Tommi Tejeda (email: tommilin@unm.edu).

Are the in-person presentations available for online attendees?

Yes! All presentations are in the hybrid modality. If you are attending online, you will follow a link sent out to registered attendees soon before the conference. You will use that link to join a Zoom and from there you can move freely to breakout rooms for the concurrent sessions and keynotes. There will also be a social room available. We ask that you keep your camera off and muted unless you are presenting. You will ask your question via the chat.

No, we have not partnered with any hotels for this conference.

Are there non-spicy food options?

Yes, there will be plenty of non-spicy food.
